Love it!

I was casually interested in teaching my son baby sign, and this book was so easy and informative that I decided to really do it! It's been so fun, and he has started signing his first sign this past couple weeks! Can't wait for more to come! I recommend this book for anyone who is interested in baby sign!

Best Signing Book on the Market!

I have read almost all of the signing books out there and this is by far the best one! This book really inspires you to sign with your baby. There is an easy to use signing guide in the back and these signs are ASL. A lot of other books just use "baby" signs. Within a few months, my son has made signs on his own. My son was responding to the signs I made at around 6 months. Not only is this book great for signing, but in the back, the author also gives you book references and website references. I have been able to expand my new signing education just from her references. A must have for any parent wanting to communicate with their child before they can form words!

Wonderful resource

This book made communicating with my son much easier. The first time he used the signs for "milk" or "diaper change" I knew the book was worth it. Now, I'm addicted to learning as many signs as I can to share this with my son.

Great Book!

I've looked through other signing books and this is by far the best. I even have a friend who is a speech pathologist that works with infant to 3 year olds, she uses this book. Tons of signs in the books and they are easy to understand and teach. My son is 20 months and picked up a couple of signs the first week I started using them. Each week he adds to his "signing vocabulary."

Great book for beginners with infants OR older children!

Because I didn't start teaching my son ASL when he was an infant, I thought all hope was lost! Then I was introduced to this book and to my complete shock and amazement, not only is it NOT too late for my 4 year old to start learning, but he can enjoy the book as much as I do! This book is composed in such a way that you can follow it though any child's stages of personal development. Even those with mental or physical challenges can use this book with the help of one chapter's advice on how to modify the learning process. The first half of the book is very comprehensive by teaching the parent what parts of ASL to introduce at various stages and the back of the book is arranged by signs at those same stages. I can't wait to use this with our next child, but for now, my four year old and I are enjoying learning this together. The second half of the book is illustrated so that he can understand as well as I can! I highly recommend this book to parents with infants or older children. I now know that it is NEVER too late to learn American Sign Language!
