This is not my favorite Liz Fielding novel. I much prefer The Bridesmaid's Reward and The Best Man and the Bridesmaid, but it is good. I have trouble with the idea that a couple could just leave their baby with a family member without warning and expect that family member to care for it indefinitely and without question. How can you leave your baby without checking on it or even leaving a phone number in case of an emergency? However, the two main characters are very nice and I like their interactions. It ends well, so if you can suspend your disbelief about the premise, you'll probably enjoy it.
