Overall, great book

I'll start with the bad - the title IS deceptive. I doubt anyone would open the book and only look at one page at a time. It's impossible - kids love this book and want to turn the pages. Which leads to the second negative - it is a VERY fragile book. At first, this drove me crazy - my toddler would tear a page out just trying to turn to the next page. But the content of the book is just so interesting to her, she can't help herself. Even given those two negatives, I still have to give the book 5 stars. I bought it for my children, and they love it, the 5 stars are on their behalf. So many topics are covered, so many questions listed to help parents with discussion, so many ways to use this book - my advice would be to keep this book out of reach and only bring down for special one on one sessions with your children. I wouldn't avoid buying it just because you think it might fall apart. Some of the best loved books in this world are the ones that are falling apart (would you like to see our copy of "Good Night Moon"?) This isn't an activity book - it's a "let's look at the pictures and explore them" book. If you want an activity book, look at "Slow and Steady, Get me Ready" or "Bright Start".

My 3 year old son loves it.

I bought this book for my 3 year old son as he has watched the Baby Einstein videos and enjoyed them and learnt heaps. He pulls this book out every night since we bought it and asks me to read pages, then I hear him going over it by himself when I'm not there! If it's educational and he wants to read it then I'm happy! I think if your child knows Baby Einstein and the puppets it makes it more enjoyable. The title is a bit deceptive but I don't really mind now that we have it. My only complaint is that the book is spiral bound and very easy to tear pages out by accident. My 9 month old happened to come over while we were reading and pulled 3 pages out!

My daughter loves it

My 2 year old loves this book! It is bright and interactive and often reinforces things she has recently learned ( big and little, high and low, etc.) or has known for some time (colors). And she is learning new things... very fascinated with the animal facts. I highly recommend this book!

This is such an interactive book!

My daughter absolutely loves this book! It really helped her understand opposites, learn new vocabulary words, practice counting, and learn fun animal facts in fun ways with bright, full-color photos and gorgeous artwork. But probably my favorite part is the dialogue it initiates between us: We talk about different emotions and how certain situations might make us feel (thanks to Pavlov!), and there are so many thought-provoking questions that she loves uncovering the answers to (lots of "I spy" type of questions with art masterpieces). My Sammi literally takes this book off her shelf every single day so that we can read it together!!
