Dick and Jane: Away We Go

My six-year-old grandson was having trouble grasping reading concepts. Having been a teacher, I knew there were ways I could get to him but not with the reading material used today. I hearkened back to my days in first grade and my time spent with Dick and Jane. Did they still publish them? Yes, they did. I ordered many and with the first one we read, this one, I could see a light bulb come on inside my grandson. I was SO glad to be able to find this tried and true reading series still available. My grandson is doing much better with his reading now and I thank the Dick and Jane series for that. These are wonderful tools to help the beginning reader. I highly recommend them.

Going Back

I love all the Dick and Jane books! These are always a great book for emergent readers. These books are repetative and easy so they build confidence. I also love that I grew up reading these same books and I can now share that memory with my children.
