This is one of the best !!

This book gives you the push you need to start working on AutoCAD. I started great work on it in less than 48 hours. This book illustrates main ideas in a very concise way so that you can build upon your knowledge. According to its title it gives you the first blocks to build upon starting your AutoCAD career.

A Great Start In AutoCAD 14

This was my third try at self tutoring in AutoCAD. The material is without error. Everything is clearly explained. Lessons are short and to the point. 45 mins. a day had me up and drawing in less than 2 weeks. If a solid foundation is required for success, then I'm off to a great start on my AutoCad career.
