This issue of a+u is a special feature on KPF (Kohn Pedersen Fox), a New York-based architecture and planning practice. Founded by A. Eugene Kohn, William Pedersen, and Sheldon Fox in 1976, KPF recently celebrated its 40th anniversary. Seventeen recently completed projects across the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia are presented. Teams visit ongoing projects at various stages to immerse themselves in local cultures and practices, then advance their designs. This international exchange enables the growth of ideas that are ultimately shared across the practice through dialogue and interdisciplinary collaboration. Text in English and Japanese.
