Synopsis: Atheny's story takes place in two different states and through several decades in time. The main characters are average people like you and me who were dealt serious blows in their lives, and through their endurance, they managed to gain control in the end. Their journeys take them through mysteries, miracles, social connections, and even a bit of spirituality on their roads to success. And most of their choices along the way were based on availability rather than preference. Atheny is more than just an invented story. Most of the characters and events are blends of those taken from real life. And those blends are far too real to be just a figment of someone's imagination. Parts of this story may very well remind you of someone you know.

Autobiography: Mike Peek is a retired public school teacher and a college instructor. He has a Masters Degree in mathematics and has been called "Mister" or "Professor" for most of his working career, but now prefers simply to go by Mike.
