Christian:
Working for the General isn't complicated. Keep his calendar, manage his correspondence, don't stare too long when he takes his jacket off.
That last one I'm less reliable about.
Then I find an email I'm not supposed to see.
"Damn, nice stamina, General."
Now someone else has that video.
"You break my heart, I break your bank...or your reputation."
Somehow I'm the one sitting across from David Winter, the most controlled man I've ever met, watching him figure out how to ask for my help.
I'm good at my job. I handle his problems.
This one just happens to come with a naked video attached.
David:
I've run Fort Dale for almost ten years. I handle problems. I don't create them.
Christian has been a problem I've managed for two years by keeping very strict rules about what I will and won't let myself think about.
Then my past walks back in. It's not just that I was with a man. It's that someone filmed it. And now they want something for their silence.
Christian is the only person I trust with this.
"Behave, old man," I tell myself.
I stop listening.
A forbidden age-gap military romance with blackmail, slow burn, and a hard-won HEA. Fort Dale. Standalone. No cliffhangers.
