As an AL Manager, I nearly always run into the same questions from prospective residents and their families, and the same mistakes they make. Often there is not enough time to find "the perfect" assisted living. To be truthful, "the perfect" assisted living does not exist. Many times, the need for an assisted living manifests itself suddenly by a trigger event such as a fall, illness or other healthcare need. Families rarely know someone that is an expert in the field and end up stumbling through the process confused, angry and dealing with the stress of a monumental financial decision on top of the concern for their loved ones welfare.
