No one is more surprised then I that this was a great read!!

I will admit that at first I was very skeptical and even a little hesitant about buying this book due to some reviews I read about it, but the more I thought about it, the more I wanted to buy the book to see what all the hoop la was really about and boy am I GLAD I did. I ordered a couple others from different authors the same day and once they arrived I leafed through them each and something about Around We Go caught my eye, (a juicy scene if you must know what it was) and decided this one would be the first I was to read, by the time I was half way through with it I was hooked and proceeded to order her other two and have since read them as well, all before reading the others I had ordered to begin with and I can honestly say that I have found my new author of choice, as I eagerly await more on this story. I'm in love with Susan as I know most of the readers will be as well, the heart that woman has for the baby and others brought me to tears (something that most books don't do to me) I wish the world had more people to lend a helping hand as Susan does in these books. My words of advice, ones I myself will be following from now on is, it doesn't matter if someone else likes the book or not that will play no part in if you will like it, you should let you be the judge, not anything any of us reviewers have to say. Goes to show you that like and dislike are in the mind of the reader.

Excellent Read

I loved this book! It does have some spelling and grammatical errors, but what book doesn't? I was so glad to find that the series continues, I have purchased the next two in the series and hope they will be as great as the first. I couldn't put this book down for a second, took me on and a half days to read it. Sometimes I cried, others I laughed. Was so glad that I bought it. Keep up the good work. I recommend this book to anyone that enjoys reading.

A must read!

I, for one, loved this book. I did not put the book down until it was finished. I laughed and cried and the beginnings and endings of different loves in the book. Ms. Chatelain has a great writing ability and great story ideas. If you don't read this book you will miss a winner!

Around We Go

Around We GoTonya L. Chatelain presented "Around We Go" to us last year as her first[explicit] lesbian novel. [Explicit] indeed! It had me blushing. But [explicit] fallsshort of the depth of the character experiences in AWG; their travels, travails, sense of adventure, their generosity, their lust AND their need toconnect and build meaningful lives with another human being.Tiffany struggles for years not accepting her true identity. She evencarries on a sleep together relationship with her college roommate, Susan, because that was just the thing to do. Boy! I was sure naive in college. And maybe Tiffany's roommate was naive, too, because she thought somethingmore fundamental than college fun was going on. Tiffany went on to date aman for years while Susan licked her wounds. This college-thing-do-phase represented something deeper that Tiffanyfinally admitted to herself, her mother and her fiance. That she loveswomen, and more precisely Susan. What inspired me about the characters was their growth in facing difficultchallenges. Face it. It's not easy telling you're mother you're a lesbian. And gay men and women risk their lives for simply holding hands as isportrayed in a grizzly scene in Australia which leaves Tiffany paralyzed andher partner dead. The final moments of her partner's life are beautifullywritten and I almost felt as if I were perishing with her.Can love overcome years, disability and the miles. Tiffany's mom comesthrough, travelling thousands of miles to bring her daughter home. But canTiffany repair her relationship with Susan. I think we have to read AroundWe Go Again to find that out.I enjoyed this book and recommend it.Art Hansenfor Alison's Read and Trade

I want MORE!!!!

Around We Go is without a doubt the best book that I have read in years. The characters are vibrantly alive in my mind and heart. Ms.Chatelaine has a gift for drawing you into the lives of her characters. The emotions were such that I could relate and actually feel right along with the story. I laughed and cried.....I even cursed the author for the many unexpected twists and turns. I await the second novel with impatient, but eager anticipation. More, More, More!!!!! Look out Hollywood! This could be your hottest television series ever!!!!!
