I can not believe that no one has written a review on this book yet. It's a great story, as most of Rosanne's book are. This is a story about shannon Fitzerald and Bryce Edwards. She was 14 when she meets him. He was 23 and a captain in the army stationed in Arizona. They fall in love and he is going to wait until she turned 18 to marry her. When she turned 17 they announced there engagment. Bryce left her and would send for her in a years time to marry her in Arizona. In that year her younger brother rans away to join the Civil War and was kill. Which brings on a stroke to her father. She writes to Bryce and tells him of the troubles she is having at home and tells him that she can not leave her father and will wait until he passes away before she can come to him. After her father dies one of her father's so called "friends" tries to rape her. She kills him and fleas thinking they will imprison her. She tries to get to Bryce she is captured by an Apache called Saguaro who falls in love with her and she him. In the mean time Bryce is going insane looking for her. He finds her to lose her again to Saguaro because she has a son by him. She is captured again by other Indians and sold to a Mexican. Bryce finds her and she is in shock and almost dead. All i can say is have your tissues handy you will need them. There is tragedy, sadness and happiness in this story. There is so much more to the story but i don't want to give it all away. It's worth the buy. It's a keeper on my self. Dream Catcher
