Murder on the Irish Isles: An Aran Islands Mystery

By Tara Brannigan

Book Overview

When her mother disappears, Quinn O'Malley journeys to Ireland, where she learns that embracing her family's magical gift is the only way to solve a murder.

Quinn had always dismissed her mother, Sinead, as merely eccentric, but after receiving a letter from Ireland, Sinead vanishes. Among the few clues in a locked trunk are a cryptic letter, a photo, and a wedding veil of fine-knit Irish lace.

Following the sparse trail, Quinn is drawn to the remote Irish shores of Inis Oirr. There she locates the Aran Island Spinners shop, a cozy refuge that houses family members she never knew existed. Her newfound grandmother and aunt do more than welcome her; they confirm Quinn's greatest fears and wildest imaginings.

The O'Malleys are no ordinary family. They possess a powerful magical gift. While spinning, they see visions of the past and future woven into the thread. Now, this ancestral gift forces them to confront a darkness they thought was buried forever.

With the recent disturbance of a sacred cairn and the inexplicable death of an archaeologist, a decades-old murder resurfaces. And when the only person who holds the key to the past is found brutally murdered, the stakes climb. To uncover the killer and find her missing mother, Quinn must finally embrace her own terrifying power.
