Application of an efficiency indicator in the biomass industry

This project took place in a company that produces torrefied biomass pellets. The aim was to apply a lean methodology in order to improve workplace conditions for the company's employees. This methodology was 5S, to which a new S was added - safety. The production process was also characterized using the Overall Equipment Efficiency indicator, before and after the implementation of the 5S+1 methodology.
