The definitive (so far) pictorial reference on Ann Miller's films
Published by Thriftbooks.com User , 16 years ago
This oversized, well-assembled paperback, done in the style of Citadel Books' well-known "The Films of..." series, presents a comprehensive (at least through the date of publication) overview of famed movie dancer Ann Miller's cinematic body of work, movie by movie, along with a concise biographical essay. Numerous excellent black-and-white photos, many of which haven't showed up elsewhere, are one of the prime attractions of this book. Miller is sadly underappreciated today, so this is basically the most recent book on her available (she lived to see the 21st century, working virtually all her life!) Introduction by Hermes Pan, Miller's longtime choreographer. Be sure to also get Ann Miller's autobiography, _Miller's High Life_, which is a perfect complement to this book!
