Don't Miss Out On Any Of The Mule Hollow Series.

As with all of the Mule Hollow books, this book was great! I'm constantly checking Debra Clopton's website for another release. Even since the first book, I was hooked. There fast paced, well written, with loveable characters. The stories will be etched into your heart forever! The only disappointment I foresee is the day she discontinues the series. What a wonderful little town she's created.

cute and entertaining

This was a cute story with unique characters. I enjoyed watching the friendship grow between Lilly and Cort and I loved how the animals played a huge part in their getting to know one another. It was a great message of how sometimes what we are taught as a child needs to be re-taught as it is not always the truth (even if those that taught us had the best of intentions). This story also spoke to me on healing and acceptance and growth. It was a nice pick-me-up story.

A great read!!!

This book was funny, romantic, just a wonderful story!!! From Samantha (the almost human donkey), Loser/Lucky (the donkey loving dog), Cort (the reluctant hero), Lilly (the very pregnant but adorable heroine), the man hating grandmas, to the loving townsfolk-this story is full of love, laughter and unexpected delights.

Lighthearted and fun ...

Heart-warming and hilarious, Samantha the donkey nearly upstages the other characters in this delightful romantic comedy. She seems to have it in her mind to help her owner, Lilly, learn to trust men, and Lilly has much to overcome-three grannies who had been betrayed by the men they loved. Combine this with the other match-making characters in Mule Hollow and you have the ingredients of a comedic casserole. Clopton's second novel is like the first-lighthearted and fun with as much humor as romance. We'll be looking for more of the same from her in the future.

Mule Hollow is a town I'd like to visit ...

A donkey as a matchmaker? When it's a donkey named Samantha who is under the impression that she's human, you bet! Lilly Tipps, eight month's pregnant, first meets her new neighbor, Cort Wells, when she chases off after Samantha on a cold, sleet filled, west Texas night. Cort thinks she is crazy, putting herself and her unborn child at risk for a donkey. Lilly is both amused and infuriated by Cort's attitude. But when Lilly goes into premature labor during the middle of a winter storm, with no electricity or working phone, it is Samanatha to the rescue, bringing Cort to assist her. While this experience creates a special bond between Lilly and Cort, they both have painful experiences in their past that make them cautious about giving their hearts away again. But God does work in mysterious ways and chooses to use unusual vessels; including donkeys named Samanatha, dogs named Loser, and a special baby boy named Joshua. "And Baby Makes Five" was a wonderful read. Debra Clopton brings all the characters--human, animal, and the town of Mule Hollow itself--alive for the reader. Mule Hollow is a place I want to visit again, and apparently I have some catching up to do. So I've put Debra's first Mule Hollow book, "The Trouble with Lacy Brown", on my to-be read list. Highly recommended.
