Excellent tribute to Jan, Encouragement and Challenge for the rest of us ...

Jan was an amazing woman. Mark does a wonderful job of portraying who she was, her interests and passions, and the evidences of her vital relationship with God. However, the book goes beyond just characterizing Jan and her faith. It tracks the family of seven as they dedicate themselves to the work of the Lord, and then as they receive and deal with the pair of diagnoses received in so short a time period. It follows them as they return to the states, undergo treatments, improvements and setbacks, and as they ultimately cope with the earthly loss of wife and mother. The book is a fair and worthy challenge for anyone who considers himself or herself a follower of Christ, and an inspirational story of faith, trust, and perseverance for us all.
