Wonderful and Romantic Story

Lady Elfrida Rochelle is a scryer who sees in a vision, her perfect mate, the Earl of Shields. In her visions she finds him to be in great danger and so she rushes off to London to save him. Although he is her perfect mate they can never wed for if she marries him he will die. When she reaches London she attempts to keep a low profile, but the Earl has caught a glimps of her and is mesmerized by her beauty, so much that he actually steps out infront of a runaway hackney! After they meet they find themselves in many unfortunate circumstances from an accidental and dangerous balloon ride, to attempts on both their lives. This book is very exciting and it leaves you on the edge of your chair. If you want a romance with mystery and murder, this is the one for you. A book that is hard to put down.

A wonderful romance full of adventure and mystery

This book begins with Lady Elfrida Rochelle seeing her perfect mate in a vision. She finds that, although she can never marry her perfect mate for fear of causing his death, she must, in fact, travel to where he is and keep him from danger. The Earl of Shields comes to discover that wherever he is, there appears to be a beautiful woman following him. Fate soon brings them together as they attempt to save the Earls life as well as solve a mysterious death. A wonderful romance that keeps you on the edge of your seat as the two follow the trail of Elfrida's visions which lead them from one amazing adventure to another. Will they eventually find that they can remain together regardless of Elfrida's visions of death?

Very Enjoyable

I have read other books by Sara Blayne and she has never failed to provide lively characters and interesting plots. I enjoyed the love story between Efrida and the Earl of Shields.( His first name is Guy however it is hardly ever used.) Elfida is as smart and independent as she is beautiful. She sets her sights on Shields as predestined mate. And she will protect him with her own life. This leads to a lot of misadventures. Shields is a handsome, strong and dominant character, however, no matter how strong he is, he is unable to keep Elfrida out of mischief. He soon learns how to let her into his heart and life and together they make a formidable team. I love the secondary characthers. Efrida's brother the Marquis of Vere,( "who has a brooding aura of mystery and a fatal charm"),and Violet her younger sister who is also beautiful, intellegent and has a quick wit. I can't wait for these two to have books of their own. I found the book to be and intriguing mystery and a very romantic adventure.
