From 2010 to 2015 Peter Lilly worked in various frontline roles for New Hope, a homelessness charity in Watford, just outside of London. This deeply personal collection is inspired by and written in response to this work, and he people he encountered. The collection doesn't shy away from the dark realities of homelessness, but dwells in these spaces so the readers' eyes may adjust, notice the beauty, and see that there is still a light of hope, even for those for whom society has largely given up.
