This study takes an innovative approach to the study of affect. It focuses on the affective experiences of a group of young adults aged 18 to 27 (N=60) and, more specifically, on the links between affect and physical activity. Our participants assessed their daily emotional experiences through self-reporting over a 14-day period using the "Learning Affect Monitor" (LAM) programme, a tool installed on a handheld computer. This instrument is used to assess affective valence. We also took into account "Emotional Openness", a concept from the DOE-36 trait questionnaire, as well as motivation related to physical activity, assessed using the "Motives for Physical Activities Measure-Revised" questionnaire. Physical activity was assessed using a daily log completed by each participant.
