My favorite series's fateful beginning...

I am a 13-year-old girl and I just want to say that this is my favorite series of books! I was at a small book store with my Mom, looking for books to buy for my 2-week-long camping trip with my grandparents. I had a limited budget and noted the big sticker that said [price] on this book. My best friend had recently read it and told me it was really good, and the price, persuaded me into buying it. I'll never regret it. I own all 22 books and I love them so much. They are really interesting and are realistic to what us teens are like, unlike many authors who think they know us but really don't. These people aren't constantly going "Waz up?" and Amy isn't obsessed with her clothes and hair. Amy's different then everyone else. She notices it. Her best friend Tasha notices. Her Mom notices. And to Amy's dismay, her crush, Eric, Tasha's older brother, notices too. She can see farther, run faster, learn things quicker, and do pretty much everything better than your average 12-year-old girl. Her father died before she was born in a freak car accident in some country she can't even pronounce. The house her parents used to live in before she came around burned down, destroying everything. Her mother teaches College Biology and hates to talk about Mr. Candler. She's been acting really overprotective lately. A strange man with a camera is stalking her, and she has the same mysterious, recurring dream. Her Mother won't let her join the US Olympic Team when her coach tells her she has the potential because she doesn't believe in competition and fears Amy will develop an eating disorder. So she says... When Amy has to write an autobiography for Language Arts, she sets out to find out about herself. How far will Amy go to find the truth and at what price? A real page-turner, there are currently 22 books in this exciting series by Marilyn Kaye! Book #23 is coming out in June and I can't wait!

Amy, A Clone?

Amy is suddenly going through weird changes. Her friend, Tasha is no help. Tasha blames all of Amy's changes on puberty. Then, Amy gets weird notes in her mailbox. She suspects the notes are from her rival, Jeanine Bryant. It gets weirder. Amy wins a lottery she didn't enter. The prize is a free haircut. Next, she gets a manicure. Tasha doesn't. In her mom's office, Amy finds a bracelet that says Amy#7. At the end Amy's mom tells Amy a story about an experiment to make thirteen genetically perfect clones.

An Exellent Book

Amy Number seven was an exellent book. So far, I own and have read all the books in the series, and Amy Number Seven was a great introduction. This book was so good that I couldn't put it down. My eyes were glued to every page. If you are tired of reading books that have predictable endings, buy this book by Marilyn Kaye. P.S. don't forget to read the other books in the Replica series. they are very exiting as well.

Wow..... That's all I can say; Wow! An excellent tale.

This book was great. I really loved it. Amy thinks she's a normal girl until recently. A guy is taking pictures of her, and that birthmark wasn't there before. Maryilyn Kaye is a wonderful author. You can tell that from the first page to the last paragraph. Ths book builds the suspense, until finally, when you can stand it no more, it slaps you in the face with a terrific, surprising, and all around wonderful ending. Please, if you don't read anything else this year, read Amy Number Seven!!

A book I couldn't put down - very suspensful

This book was really great. I bought it because it was really cheap and I wanted to check out the series. Amy Candler - a 12 year-old girl - is really perfect in everything. In sports, school, EVERYTHING. But there's something different about her. She is not normal. Even her best friend Tasha admits she isn't. When she is assigned to write an autobiography about herself for English, Amy begins to dig into her past. She sends a request for her birth certicicate, but there is no record of her birth. Her mother won't tell her anything about her. Amy looks into her mom's office (which is forbidden to her) and finds a bracelet that says "Amy #7" Amy doesn't know what it means, but the more she tries to find out about herself, the more she dicovers that she isn't human. This is a very suspensful book and I give it 5 stars because I couldn't put it down. Can't wait to read the next 2 in the series :)
