InNew York Timesbestselling author Morgan Matson's first novel, a teen begins to heal from grief and open up to new possibility over the course of a cross-country road trip--an emotional and romantic "near-perfect summer read" (Publishers Weekly, starred review). It's 2010. You have to drive all the way across the country with a (very cute) stranger. Without a smartphone. Amy Curry can't believe this is her life. Her mother moved across the country, and it's now up to her to get their car from California to Connecticut. But since the car accident that shattered her world, Amy isn't driving. Enter Roger. He's a college freshman, a family friend who also has to get across the country--and has his own reasons for agreeing to the trip. As Amy and Roger hit the highway, they start a journey neither of them could have imagined--filled with road trip music, fast food, unexpected detours, new friends, old flames, family secrets...and maybe even love.

I love Morgan Matson, but this book was a disappointment. It was slow at parts, and since I love the author so much it was all that good. But in the end a fun summer read.
