The year is 1970, as the favored angel's teenaged Champions continue to push back the evil intent on starting the war called Armageddon. The supernaturally gifted teens have found an ally in their new principal, Arland Loveless Bertarelli, who has the gift of prophecy. An angel comes to Principal Bertarelli and warns him of the most dangerous demons the Champions have yet to face-the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. Each rider is more formidable than any demon the team has yet seen. War, called Gewalt; Dominikus, the death rider; Pestilence, the harbinger of pandemic like plagues; and Famine, the hunger brought on by evil and rebellion, all ride their hell-beasts to destroy the Champions first and then on to spread their evil among mortals. The team must survive the onslaught and find the creature responsible for unleashing the horsemen before their appointed time. Who is formidable enough to challenge the Morning Star, the fallen angel who sits on the dark throne? Then again, how can the Champions possibly stand against a foe as powerful as the Prince of Hell?
