Besides the color photos which are exceptional, the stories of each quilt make them come to life. Even though I am not a quilter, I appreciated the workmanship and the artistry that was created. This book shows how important recording the provenance is, such as who the maker is, the designer, the fabrics chosen, when the quilt was made, etc. A beautiful book to be enjoyed and learn about an artform practiced by many different Americans.
From traditional to contemporary, well documented.
