ALPHABET'S QUEST was inspired by a concern that we are seeing generations of increasing numbers of illiterate young people, unprepared to effectively deal with the many challenges encountered in life. The storyline took several months to develop because I wanted the use of the letter sounds to be presented differently, while encouraging children to save the little town of ALPHABET by practicing reading and writing themselves. This is an activity book in a line drawing format for coloring to help familiarize readers with the shapes and the names of the alphabet.

When I noticed that my grandson seemed uninterested in learning how to read, it motivated me to develop a book for him that might help encourage him to want to read. He was delighted to color the pages and listen to the story. Coloring the pages and listening to the story has been enjoyed by children in my family, so after much encouragement I am publishing ALPHABET'S QUEST to present it to the world. I hope this book will encourage children to learn how to read and write while they are enjoying coloring the pages.
