Legacy get's some Love

I really like Allie, of course she has to be really good with animals but what ever. I still really like this book. I'm glad Legacy get's some one who loves him after Christina traded him for Sterling Dream. It's just a nice way to end the series. I think this is the second to last book in the series and it was really good.

Too bad things end just when they start to be good.

I cannot express how strange it is that just as these books became consistently better the plug was pulled on their production. This is one of the better books in the "New Generation," simply put. Allie is a likeable character and her story is an intriguing one that has breathed new life into the series (no matter how many errors it took to bring Allie to us). This book was more well-written than previous installments, and was a good and worthwhile read.

Allie and Legacy, Great Book

This book was very good. TB has a new main character: Allison Avery. Us, readers, get to feel how Allie is feeling, from losing both of her parents. We see a little bit of Jilly Gordon and Craig Avery, Allie's parents, who are deeply loved and missed. We finally get to see Wonder's Legacy back in action! Ben and Cindy buy Legacy and Allie feels attached to him. In this book will find the firece devotion and love for Legacy. Sadly, the TB series is ending after book #72! [...] Mary Anderson, has written a very good book with lots of description. A very, very good book

Allie and Legacy Come Home! (and letter from Harper Collins)

I'd just like to start off this review by saying that the quality of the TB books has grown with each release since "Breaking the Fall" #67. This book is very well written, and it is so nice to finally have a book totally devoted to TB's newest member: Allison Avery. After I finished this book, I found that I really do like Allie. Her personality is very different from the other TB characters that we've come to know and love. Allie struggles with feelings of doubt and loneliness. She doesn't have an exact idea of what she wants to do in life, like Ash and Cindy did. The parts of the book that touched on her feelings of grief for her parents and uncertainty in her future at Tall Oaks were wonderful to read. They were full of true emotion, and I really felt for Allie and her personal struggles. It was also very nice to see the little glimpses into the lives of Jilly and Craig; two characters who are very much loved and missed. The other wonderful part about this book is Legacy. I'm SO glad that he is back. When he was sold, many of us wondered what had become of him. Now that he has returned, I almost felt like Wonder herself was back. Somehow, Legacy to me is like the last "connection" to Wonder and the Old Generation. I am very excited to see what his future with Allie will be like. A future is, unfortunately, something the THOROUGHBRED SEREIS won't have. I received this letter from Harper Collins today. I'm so saddened at this news. I can only hope by some miracle TB can be saved or the publishers will change their minds. Be sure to go to www.whitebrookfarm.com for all the latest updates... Dear Loyal Fans of Thoroughbred: As many of you know by now, we are taking a break from publishing more titles in the Thoroughbred series after book number 72, Legacy's Gift releases in July of this year. Please know that the decision to halt Thoroughbred's publication at this juncture was one we agonized over for some time. We are simply finding that while we still have loyal readers such as yourself, there are not nearly as many as there once were. From its creation by Joanna Campbell in 1991, this series has stood apart from all other equine books. The details and true-to-life experiences on farms, in stables, and on the racing circuit depicted in our books have given readers a unique opportunity to learn about horses and the lives of jockeys, trainers, and breeders. We have been extraordinarily fortunate to have worked with so many wonderful, dedicated, talented and knowledgeable writers--without whom Thoroughbred could not have become the leader in its class. Their love of horses, expertise and spectacular stories have inspired countless young readers and young riders. We would also like to thank all of our readers, past and present, for your dedication to the characters, your excitement and enthusiasm for each new book, and the valuable feedback you've given us over the years. Please know that we've taken great care to craft a ve
