This collection of writings is a touching compilation of the author's observations in nature, especially the bird life around her home. I particularly enjoyed the fascinating observations on bird nesting behavior and her descriptions of going out in her canoe to observe the beauty of nature. Each piece is only a few pages long and I think has high value as a companion to Christian devotional readings. The author weaves connections to the Bible and her faith throughout the book. For Christians who find that time in nature helps them connect with God, this book will be a blessing to you. Truly a hidden gem!
