Until I read this, William Diehl's "TAI HOUSE" was the best thriller I ever read. This is equal to it. The reviewers who rated this below 10 MUST have read another novel! This novel is just SUPERB!I look foward to the author's next one.
I'm a cop, and it scared me!

Zachary Fox is/was either employed as a Law Enforcement Officer or has really done his homework. His grasp on both Law Enforcement procedures and the criminal mind is uncanny. This book should be required reading for all criminal justice students. His writing style combines lots of facts and information without becoming a text book. As a Law Enforcement Officer myself, it bothers me when facts, procedures, or policies in the book I'm reading are way off base. No problem with that here though. I found myself feeling personnally involved in the case and couldn't put the book down. I think it is amusing that everybody else read this book in only two days also. It is just that good of a book
Terrific - when is his next novel due out!!

I read the book in two days. I just had to find out how Ellen Camacho and the Las Cruces Police were going to get this DeVries guy. I was talking about the book for weeks. Well, as you can tell, I still am! It would make an excellent movie
School children are terrorized by a psycopath
Published by Thriftbooks.com User , 28 years ago
School will never be the same for twenty-seven Las Cruces learning disabled children innocently riding a bus to school when Lowell Alexander DeVries, wearing a clown's suit, enters the vehicle with a gun in hand and kidnaps all of them. To free the children, Lowell demands that the town provide him with $20 million dollars or he will kill all of them. Many of the children have medical needs, but to the psychopathic Lowell it does not matter because his plan calls for him to hide them for the next thirty-eight hours. The police assign Ellen Camacho, a single mother, to lead the investigation. However, Lowell means to prove that he is all business. Without remorse he kills a child, raising the stakes and the concerns of the already agitated, over the edge parents. The FBI enter the case and soon there is a jurisdiction dispute between local police chief Paul Whitehorse, Ellen's lover, and agent Matt LaSalle. However, Ellen is not interested in who runs the show because she knows that if they fail to stop this maniac soon, many more children will die. ALL FALL DOWN is an incredible novel so filled with tension, readers will leave their fingerprints imbedded into the book's cover. First time author Zachary Alan Fox scores the winning super bowl touchdown in his debut novel. Readers will not only want to see a movie adaptation of the tale, but more works from Mr. Fox.
