Alí Bey

In 1803, Domingo Badía Leblich, a brilliant Catalan posing as Muslim prince Ali Bey el Abbassi, is sent on a secret mission by the Spanish Crown to explore the Islamic world and gather intelligence. Welcomed as a noble in Morocco and later traveling through the Ottoman Empire, he navigates a dangerous world of espionage, political intrigue, and cultural disguise, culminating in his daring entry into the forbidden city of Mecca. Upon returning to a war-torn Spain, his achievements go unrecognized amid political upheaval. Based on true events, Alí Bey tells the story of a visionary explorer who risked everything for knowledge, adventure, and purpose.
