Excellent Book

I used this book many years ago and I have to say that it is the main reason I was able to become an engineer. It gave me a solid basis in algebra despite hating math at the time. The book requires a lot of time on the students part though and lazy students will not like it.

Saxon Algebra I

I have used Saxon Algebra for many years. It is one of the most compreshensive algebra texts, with easily understood lessons, a excellent testing program, and plenty of review of all concepts. I like the bite size portions of a concept, followed by lots of practice. My students are well prepared for college math when they have completed the program. They also do well on the SAT tests as a result of the teachings.
