The approach developed in this book is based on the revaluation of vernacular housing in the Medina of Tunis, an ancestral architectural model whose intelligence lies in its passive bioclimatic adaptation and organic organization around the patio, but which today faces major challenges of structural degradation and thermal discomfort. The central issue is therefore the ability of this heritage to integrate the demands of modern life and digital nomadism without losing its historical essence or material integrity. In response, the methodology advocated, entitled "L' veil de la Trame", deploys an innovative synergy between artificial intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT) to transform architectural diagnosis into a precision process using photogrammetry and LiDAR, while introducing generative design capable of creating modular, reversible interior layouts made from local materials. This "Vernacular-Tech" rehabilitation approach not only restores buildings, but also perpetuates the soul of the Medina through predictive maintenance and spatial storytelling.
