Romance and Vampires

I have always been a fan of Teresa's books and I was a little hesitant about this one based upon the reviews I saw here. I purchased this book at a local used bookstore and read it in less than 24 hours. The story had me from the get go, I found it very entertaining and a worth while read. Much better writing than the average author, and a nice twist to the "poor heroine and the rich aristocrat" that is repeated over and over in this genre. I look forward to Portia and Julian's sequel coming out this year. I can't wait to see what happens to them. Thanks Teresa for another great book!

Loved it!!!

This was a great switch for Teresa. It's her first vampire novel and I thoroughly enjoyed every moment! I can't wait for Portia and Julian's story. Teresa fans will not be disappointed.

Fantastic

I love this book! I have always loved Teresa's works, and I think this is one of her best, along with Touch Of Enchantment. The vampire twist is marvelous. Caroline and Adrian's romance is breathtaking... and sizzling. Perfect. As for Julian and Portia... I can't wait!

Refreshing Vampire Story

Highly recommend. After Midnight had more of a plot than most romance novels. Yes it had some steamy love scenes but they did not run the story which was refreshing. I can't wait to read Julian and Portia's story in 2006. You really feel like you know the characters. I liked this book so much, read it in one day!!!

Medeiros' first vampire book is her best book ever!

I love all Teresa Medieros' books especially TOUCH OF ENCHANTMENT and the heroine in AFTER MIDNIGHT is a typical Medeiros heroine, very smart, sharp-tongued, funny, who doesn't take trouble from anyone. But Adrian Kane is really different, dark and brooding with this determination and intensity that makes him so HOT. He had me fanning myself in bed when I should have been sleeping but I couldn't becaause I started the book in the evening and couldn't put it down. Medeiros should have been writing vampires a long time ago. The only thing I don't like is she left the story hanging to be continued in the next book and I don't know when that is coming. But AFTER MIDNIGHT is definitely the best Medeiros I've read. I defintely recommend it.
