Research on the theme of "African armies in democratic processes with the advent of sovereign national conferences; the case of Niger" is an ideal opportunity to delve into a major issue for young African democracies. The aim of this study was to shed light on one of the most thorny issues facing African democracies, namely the role and place of the armed forces. Indeed, since the advent of democratic societies in Africa with the fall of the Berlin Wall, one of the major concerns facing this new order has been the redefinition of the role to be played by the armed forces. This dissertation deals with a subject that is still topical in African countries, particularly Niger.
