Grey relational analysis is employed to identify key influencing factors during the granulation process, with optimal values or optimal control ranges provided. The durations of anaerobic, aerobic, and anoxic phases in the sequencing batch reactor are adjusted using pH, oxidation-reduction potential, and dissolved oxygen to optimize operational parameters of aerobic granular sludge while addressing the issue of non-filamentous bulking. To address the poor long-term stability of aerobic granular sludge, a coupled selection pressure that effectively controls the continuous growth of granule size is selected based on previously obtained optimal conditions. In addition, methods for measuring the activity of denitrifying phosphorus-removing microorganisms in aerobic granular sludge are thoroughly investigated, the drawbacks of conventional measurement methods are analyzed, and improved experimental methods are proposed to accurately assess the activity of various microbial populations. The effect of tourmaline addition on the cultivation and treatment performance of denitrifying phosphorus-removing aerobic granular sludge is also examined. Finally, using aquaculture sediment as the inoculum, stable salt-tolerant denitrifying phosphorus-removing aerobic granular sludge is cultivated, and its performance in treating mariculture tailwater is investigated. This research has positive implications for the protection of China's mariculture water environment. The experimental outcomes can reduce the ecological risk of mariculture sediment, achieve its harmless treatment and resource utilization, lower sediment treatment costs, and provide technical support for improving the recirculation of mariculture tailwater.
