A very interesting collection of adventure stories

I found the book very interesting and enjoyable. The story I liked best was "A Gap In The Dark" written by Helen Dunmore. The author used very expressive words to describe the action of its characters (eg, "nearly cannoned into Mistress Bowman"). I could feel the intensity of the action. Stories written in expressive language make it easier for readers like me to visualise the picture. Two other stories I particularly liked were "The Reluctant Python" and "Batty". I highly recommend the book to other readers.
