Wild Edible Plants of North Carolina is a good resource book for all levels.

The book has enough information for those who have little information on plants, some history, some biology, and enough information to keep one safe if eating the plants. A good starter book if you want to learn the possibilities of foraging in the East Coast of the United States. I think the photos are exceptional.
