This is Book 1/4 - Fundamentals. Here you will find the philosophical basis that yoga provides as well as the one derived from the mixture of the three disciplines. It also talks about the history of acroyoga, the Acroyogathai school, the technique of structures, grips, preparatory sequences, ... but above all the 11 fundamental positions are explained, and how to enter and exit them. The knowledge of these postures is essential to be able to face all the other asanas that appear in the other three volumes, since they are used to access all of them, and also to exit.
The authors, Lucas and Maria, two teachers from Brazil and Spain respectively, draw on many different styles and teachers, from the most traditional, especially due to their relationship with India, to the most avant-garde, among other things due to their presence in a multitude of festivals. They run the AcroYogaThai school, which has been training teachers since 2014 in Barcelona, later in other places, especially in Kerala (South India) where they created a small yoga community in which they work with volunteers who come from all over the world. They have spent about five years developing this book, which reflects their understanding and teaching of this beautiful practice.
