gripping international romantic suspense

"Character, honor, integrity? They're my foundation stones." Adventuring through Paris, Italy, Greece, Yemen and Tanzania with Dillon and Cove was absolutely exhilarating. We didn't see a whole lot of the original Nightshade team in this book but did get to catch up a little with Dante and Owen. Dillon was amazing. Driven to find out the truth about his dad, he was skilled and focused, smart and resourceful, disciplined and principled, tender and thoughtful. Cove was fun. She was vulnerable, compassionate, smart, emotional, and loyal. The plot had plenty of action, suspense, and twists and turns. I didn't anticipate how the plot played out regarding Dillon's dad and the powers at play and their goal. Most of the book took place within a span of about one week but Dillon and Cove's relationship felt rock solid and their trust in each other absolute though they did have a rocky start. I'm sad that the Discarded Heroes: Scions series has come to an end. Here's hoping we get a spin-off series about the Omen Tactical Group next.
