Diamonds high, and an ace of Spades to all those who try

Mark Schorr brings forth his Don Qiuote of pulp detectives Simon Jaffe who now calls himself Red Diamond. And Red has come at an impasse wondering if he should be Diamond or Jaffe, when he meets up with an independent casino owner who wants to know who is trying to muscle him out of Las Vegas. Red ends up facing off against a rogue Jewish mobster whose out to steal Bugsy Seigel's crown by becoming the unquestionable lord of Las Vegas. He also deals with the mob, the Vegas cops, and one of the more deadly, devious, and arrogant assassins named Julo who looks at Red and sees a worthwhile opponent a man whose worth killing. Its a rip roaring good read, and definitely worth the time.
