Miniature Nights

Volume 5 is the second to last book in Absolute Boyfriend and it's finally time for Riiko to make a choice. Who will she pick for her boyfriend? Night or Soshi? To make things even more difficult Night's body is in for repairs and she's left with an action figure sized mini-Night. While Night is laid up with a case of the tinies, Soshi decides to move in with Riiko too so that he can help out. This book starts out pretty funny with tiny Night trying to do all the things he used to, like cooking. When it comes right down to it both Night and Soshi cause more problems than anything for Riiko. But that is what they do best. And yes, when things take a serious turn (you've been warned) Riiko will finally figure out who it is that she loves. After so many books it was nice to get a DEFINITE answer. For anyone who doesn't know, a lot of people dislike the ending of this series. I might agree with them but honestly, Absolute Boyfriend was never the most original story to begin with. There are plenty of cliched happenings in here. Despite that, I've come to really like the characters and I think the story is relatively well told. Besides I love Gaku Namikiri. If you're unsure about the ACTUAL ending of the series, buy up to volume 5 of Absolute Boyfriend and leave it at that. The ending of this book actually works pretty well in that department.
