A side of men not often revealed!

What makes this collection special is it's availability. In our everyday readings, there remains a lack of material on men's own words and how they feel. You clearly read and grasp the emotion, sensitivity, humor, uncertainity and pain that these essays have to tell us. The essays are short, less than three pages, but what these men share are things you might not ever hear from men. It's like getting that intimate one on one with a man and here's where he opens up. Mostly, the forum for these essays truly opened up for great conversational writings from men. According to the author, in the late 80s or early 90s, the New York Times carried a column titled, "About Men". They were receiving 75 manuscripts a week. I'm not sure if the column exists today. Some of the essays are from well-known writers, but plenty are unkown. The importance is the message written regardless of the writer's name. The essays are categorized into headings about family, love and marriage, without women, friendships, work, aging, manhood, men at play, men at war, etc. etc. This is a wonderful collection that delves into a man's thoughts. ......MzRizz
