You are not alone.

I am not entirely convinced of that infuriatingly, hopeful phrase yet, but I am trying to be.

This book is an attempt at understanding what has made this pain so isolating. So anyone who is lucky enough to relate can feel even the slightest sense that maybe they are not alone.

In doing so, I have written poems exploring observation, mental illness, an unhealthy relationship with alcohol, love, and a potential acceptance of who I am.

I hope that, in some small way, this book can help at least one person in the same way writing it helped me.
