A WARMING TREND Now a reclusive Washington rancher, exigent Erik Snow had shelved his top-secret identity, closeted his chilling past and locked his tormented soul in ice. Except for his precious little girl, he cared for no one- and made sure no one cared for him. Until a bullet nicked his glacial indifference... and nurse Marybeth MacNamara inched her way in. Marybeth's womanly warmth thawed Erik's frozen feelings, making hopes spring up in his hardened heart, making hot blood pound in his loner's veins... making his entire being throb to possess her. Her sweet, stubborn sunshine was about to undo him! Hadn't she learned that the tip of an iceberg signaled danger? And that her melting tenderness might unleash a tidal wave of regrets?

INTRIGUEING STORY - LOVE LITTLE TINA!

Plot excellently written - moved well -- characters good. Now then ---- When Eric Snow decided to help stop the robbery and take out nut case with the gun he opened himself up to a lot of trouble. As luck would have it Marybeth was at the same bank and was a nurse at the hospital when Eric took a bullet in the shoulder and she was intrigued by the haunted looks and loneliness of the stubborn patient.Had to chuckle at Marybeth's friend, Sandy and her passion for saving animals from being put to sleep at the animal shelter.Sandy also was not shy in telling Marybeth to make a push to get to know Eric. She also helped in connecting little Tina with a dog that Eric didn't want on his ranch.Story got bogged down with all of Marybeth's emotional angst and mistrust lousing up her life. And wouldn't you know, Eric got the brunt of it. I don't call that love! [Where is the understanding that other people have just as many problems as you do?]It was very good that some how Marybeth helped Eric wade through his guilt and withdrawl and made life a little happier for Tina. Ah, but the hormones was flying their little red flags and conquering inhibitions [and hey, nobody got pregnant - a bit weird, no?]Will recommend --M for a 92 story - good for a book to read during the winter.

:)

Erik Snow is a handsome hardened man. His past as a secret agent has made him that way. The only person that he truly cares about is his daughter. That is until the day he meets Marybeth MacNamara. Neither of them can forget the day that they met. Both of them were at the local bank when it was robbed. Erik saved the day and all the hostages but took a bullet for his trouble. Lucky for him Marybeth is a nurse. Erik and Marybeth both have had their share of pain in the past. Marybeth's husband was a cop killed in the line of duty. Erik's past as a secret agent still haunts him. Both of them need to learn to trust the other if they are to have any type of future together. This was a good story. I just wish that Erik did not end up taking the blame for most of the problems in their relationship. It seemed to me that Marybeth was equally to blame and was a bit hard on Erik. In all, the book was still good and I would recommend it.
