Ms. Neels excelled at thinking up unskilled jobs for her heroines. Daisy is another very sweet, hardworking, plain heroine with a family to support. A doctor as usual, Valentine is a strong character everyone loves or at least greatly respects except Daisy. She says what she thinks most of the time although sometimes she regrets it. Another lovely story.
She Disliked Him Immediately....

Book Description: Surely Her Heart Realized He Was Totally Unsuitable? Arrogant, overbearing and dictatorial! What was there to like about brilliant pediatrician Dr. Valentine Seymour? Not much, Daisy Pelham had to admit. Yet, his small patients seemed to adore him . . . Daisy was mystified. She could only think that perhaps there was another side to him, one that he didn't want her to see . . . Pediatrician Dr. Valentine Seymour was dictatorial, overbearing, rude, and just downright impossible to tolerate ... or that is what Daisy Pelham thought. She knew she didn't like him the minute she met him. Children like him, the twins loved him - but he was an excellent pediatrician and knew how to handle them. But he did not know how to interact with adults. ...So why did so many people like and respect him, her mother and sister included! She had to admit - he helped her at the hospital during the daycare food fiasco; he helped her find a job babysitting her niece and nephew; he always seemed to be there ready and willing to help her. Thought, that usually meant she had to see more of him than was comfortable. Perhaps she misjudged him; maybe he wasn't so bad after all. Possibly, that could explain why she found herself in love with him. A pleasant first-impressions story sure to please Neels fans.
