Anohter Great Story by Kathryn Shay!

Emily Mackenzie doesn't agree with the way her father runs his business, but that doesn't stop her from loving him. Vastly different than her cold and manipulative father, Emily tries to help others. Especially those who are affected by her father's corporate takeovers. That's why when her father takes over Benedict Cassidy's company, Emily volunteers at Cassidy Place, a soup kitchen that used to be funded by Benedict's company before her father assumed control. While working there she meets Ben, a local construction worker, and finds herself attracted to him. She doesn't realize that Ben is actually Benedict Cassidy. For his part, Ben doesn't realize that Emily is the daughter of his enemy. Emily knows she's falling for Ben. Their attraction leads to a passionate night together, but when the morning comes and Ben finds out just exactly who Emily really is, he walks out on her. When Ben finally comes back into her life six months later he finds out that he is going to be a father and insists that Emily marry him. However, he still believes that Emily is the same kind of person as her father. Can Emily's love change his mind? Or will his mistrust drive her way? Can he ever accept her father in his life? Writers like Kathryn Shay are the reason why I buy Harlequin Super Romances. She has the unique talent of inviting a reader to get lost in the pages of her stories. One of the things that always draw me to any Kathryn Shay's book is the fact that her characters always feel real. Both Ben and Emily love each other, but issues with family get in their way. In Emily and Ben's case it's the father who has raised Emily and who she believes is her only parent. The dynamic of her being torn between her husband and her father is one that I deeply felt and gives depth to an already well-written love story.
