Everything I hoped it would be and more

I was weighing several options, but having never read H.L. Burk's work before, I figured I'd start with one book and this was the one I picked, deciding to hold on her other series and coming back to grab the sequel at a later date if I liked it. I should have gone ahead and grabbed it. In a delightful style that does not shy away from exploring the characters thoughts, past and personalities through pleasant interactions and introspection, Burk tells a wonderful, lighthearted romance story still full of forward momentum that had me loving every member of the cast from page one and unable to put it down until I'd read it cover to cover...in the middle of April. The clean, respectful romance still had me blushing and smirking, coupled with the small town winter atmosphere and I was a happy camper. While I don't watch Hallmark movies I do devour DC Comics, and this satisfied on both the hero and romance front. If you're considering it, I highly recommend!
