Finally Love

22 yr-old Kerenhappuch although her father died before she was born and her mother died when she was born, Karen was raised by her Aunt Mary from her father side of the family. When she died Karen was 14 and then the Cottons her kin on her mother's side said they couldn't take her in, but they would make sure she went to school. Karen then lived with a great-aunt and her husband who weren't nice. After she got out of school, they wanted her stay with them because she was useful. But the Cottons wanted the aunt to stick to their bargain so she was sent to work for old Miss Cotton until she died, then she was faced with Miss Cotton's greedy relatives, the lawyer for Miss Cotton Mr Aubrey Philbright helped Karen sneak out of the house, and he took her to his home. His sister Eleanor received her with open arms. But Karen knew she had to work, she had no family to turn to. Mr Philbright came up with an idea, he had a client, 27 yr-old Mr Christopher Thirlby, who had been in a jet plane accident, and he wasn't expected to live more than 6 months, and he wanted a wife. At first she refused, then she went to meet Christopher, and she fell in love. But Christopher had a cousin Fred who had just married the one woman Stella he himself had been in love with, what neither of the men knew is that Stella found out about the accident and that fact that the doctors gave Kit very little time to live. Though Stella didn't really love either man, Kit was her choice because he was more virile of the two, but she got Fred, the faithful puppy of a man, who loved her no matter what... or so she thought. From the back of the book: 'A girl who had worked so hard all her life that she was ignorant of the ways of the world, and a man whose money gave him the freedom to indulge every whim - what could two such people have in common? Yet, when Christopher was so badly injured in a plane crash that he was given only six months to live, they decided that they would get married. What hope was there for this marriage, even if Christopher did get better?'
