Aside from finding food and somewhere to sleep, Nanao and Machi also have to watch out for other dangers, including humans who want the strays gone.

When a woman starts feeding the neighborhood cats, Nanao cautiously starts to bond with her. But the woman, Yoshino, has issues and wounds of her own, and a past which is entwined with Nanao's. Can Nanao help her heal, and perhaps find a new home in the process? A moving tale of family and survival!
