A complex mystery thriller with a strong dose of humor.

This first effort is loaded with plots and subplots and requires the reader to focus on the details at all times. Zobel's ability to weave a compelling story mixed with technology and humor is admirable. His ability to drop a clue then pick up the meaning much later in the novel is outstanding. This book is a challenge to read and stimulating through and through. I look forward to future novels by John Zobel.

Witty mystery in the Ross Thomas vein.

Spite, greed and skullduggery combine in this breakneck search for a hidden $10 million lottery ticket. Puzzlers and lexicographers will enjoy the string of clues. Some paramilitary villians complicate things and there's even an unlikely romance that bubbles up among the main combatants.
