Powerful and Memorable

I never go back to edit a previous review, but I just finished this delightful work and must do so. This novel is superb. A tale of multiple successive generations of women built around their relationships with one another, history, power, and, of course, magic. I love that each character’s personality was clearly developed, and their dynamic with the women before and after them so clearly depicting the realities of mother-daughter relationships. I have already sought out more works by this author, and can only hope she indulges us with an improbable continuation of this line of women who I feel deeply connected to. I even dare to hope she might publish the mysterious grimoire from this novel, Fairyopolis-style, so fans can obsess over it. Highly recommend!
