great read

I don't normally read category romance since I prefer a longer story, but I really enjoy Coulter's stories. She has a gift for dialogue and pitting opposites. In Season of Forgiveness, she has her work cut out for her between a hero and heroine who seem destined for a lifetime of unhappiness if they stay together. But, through God's grace and humor and love, these two realize they'd be unhappier apart than together. Coulter tells a wonderful story of loving someone without trying to change them.

Brenda's Best!

After being somewhat disappointed in her second novel, but after following her blog for the past year, I picked up "A Season of Forgiveness" last week. I am so glad I did! This book had a bit of everything, and it was GOOD. It was very good. One of the best Love Inspired titles in a long time!

Gripping, Emotional Story

I enjoyed it immensely - in fact I read it in just a few hours. Despite not wanting to put this book down, even after turning over the last page, I was still forced to spread it out over a few reading sessions by other tasks that required my attention. As in her earlier books, the characters come to life for the reader. Her plotlines are resolved so as to satisfy the reader's curiosity yet there is room to continue the story. Her characters grab you in such a way that you want to spend more time with them and greet them as old friends in another book down the road. One just isn't enough! I was able to identify with all the characters to some degree, which testifies to the quality of Ms. Coulter's character development. I found that I identified with the heroine Victoria (Tori)Talcott most of all partially due to the fact that I see alot of myself in her. There were even a few scenes that caused my stomach to start doing somersaults on me because I identified so closely with this heroine and her fight to let go. Tori is an uptight, quiet woman. Risk is a negative word in her vocabulary! When Sam McGarry , an adrenaline junkie and adventure loving sportsman, comes into her life both their worlds are turned inside out. While each sees how illogical it would be to pursue this relationship each one responds differently to this recognition. Will they be able to acknowledge that love itself is an illogical concept? Can their connection outweigh Tori's fears and insecurities? Will they end up together in the end? To find out read A Season of Forgiveness by Brenda Coulter.

SPORTS - BOOKS - ROMANCE delighted with the result.

This author's first published book: FINDING HOPE (Love Inspired No.216) Finding Hope: Love Inspired (Love Inspired No.216) has been my all-time favorite romance novel. (In fact, before FINDING HOPE - I read few romances. They seemed distasteful, beneath my dignity.) Brenda adds heart to her novels and they sing! I must admit when I heard it was about sports I thought, well, all of her books can't be winners. Sports and a romance novel!? But I was soooo wrong! The hero is a sports extreme type guy (in fact it's his livelihood) and the heroine is a librarian who fits the type. But sparks fly when they meet. Romance novels are often assumed to be light reads with little content. That may be so with many or some. This one -- NOT! An underlying theme -- worry -- is handled in a way that made it personal - that made me think. Worrying about things is such an addictive activity. But is it helpful or does it prevent disaster? This book nails this question. Not only a good read -- it made me think, as well. I for one, loved it!

Fantastic!!

I have been so excited about this book coming out! I bought it yesterday and read the whole thing in one sitting! it is incredible and definitely worth your money. The characters are real and believable, the plot absolutely fabulous! Brenda, you have done it again! Congrats!
